Najma AlWadi is a successful leader with a two-decade record of achievements. Currently, she serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Tamkeen, overseeing the overall IT-related Digital Transformation Initiatives and IT functions. Before her role at Tamkeen, Najma led the ila IT Digital Team, where she successfully launched Bahrain's first truly digital bank using cutting-edge technologies and internationally recognized methodologies.Najma was also a key member of the Bank ABC Development team, where she worked as Head of Development and delivered hundreds of innovative technology solutions to the ABC Group. During her tenure, she contributed to numerous successful implementations across 11 countries, including Digital banking, Core Banking in Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, and Europe, as well as solutions for Management Reporting, Data Warehouse applications, and HR Systems.Najma has proven leadership and experience in delivering large, complex solutions, products, and projects across various banking verticals. She has gained extensive knowledge in multiple business lines, including Credit, Treasury, Islamic Banking, Trade Finance, Project Finance, Retail, and Corporate Business.Najma has attended numerous technology, leadership, and business courses. She holds a BSc in Computer Science from UAE University with Distinction and an MBA from the University of Bahrain. Additionally, she completed the Driving Digital Strategy course at Harvard University.
