Currently, Stijn leads Carrefour's Technology and Security Team as their Belgian CTO & CISO, defining and implementing the company’s digital future. Known for his innovative approach, Stijn has a distinguished career in orchestrating transformative digital strategies and engineering groundbreaking solutions. He excels at aligning cutting-edge technologies with business objectives, driving operational efficiency, optimizing customer experiences, and boosting revenue growth.
Stijn also extends his skills as the founder of digital start-ups like Blents. He is a frequent panel member and speaker on Digitalization, Architecture, Innovation, and Business/IT Strategy alignment. Stijn and his team have received several awards, including “Most Recognized and Inspirational Speaker at 2022” events from CIONET and the “Most Successful Global Cloud Project,” awarded by Google.
On a personal note, Stijn is passionate about his family and triathlons. During his journey toward qualifying for the Ironman World Championship in 2015, he founded a corporate social responsibility program, partnering with brands like Eddy Merckx Cycles to raise money for various charities.
